Life's a Lemon is the life story of Maggie Scott's alter ego Raylene Starr.

Raylene was brought up in the Western suburbs of Sydney. She never had much in the way of material possessions but she was gifted with an unending capacity for love.

Life’s a Lemon takes us on an hilarious journey through Raylene’s world.

Raylene has many facets: the party animal, the wife, the mother, the daughter, the friend, the crazy auntie, the artist and in her later life with “…more time on her hands and a deep seated need to find her inner self...” the Feng Shui expert.

She has a sensational singing voice and tells her life story through music.

Raylene’s spirit reflects the uplifting quality of the music. She never loses faith in the human spirit. Her motto is "Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start over”
